Public flogging continue in Iran |

A male prisoner was publicly flogged in Ramhormoz of Khuzistan province (South-West of Iran).
The website of the Department of Justice of the clerical regime announced a man by the name of Gholamreza D. received 74 lashes in public on April 26. He was accused of robbery.

Report: Jailed Iranian filmmaker on hunger strike |

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — A pro-reform Iranian website is reporting that acclaimed Iranian filmmaker and opposition supporter Jafar Panahi has gone on a hunger strike while in prison. The Rahesabz website quoted the filmmaker's wife, Tahereh Saeidi, as saying he stopped eating and drinking Sunday morning.

Un imam radical a appelé samedi 15 mai à la création d'un « Grand Iran » qui règnerait sur l'ensemble du Moyen-Orient et l’Asie centrale, dans un événement qui, selon lui, annoncerait la venue du Messie attendu de l'Islam. L'ayatollah Mohammad Bagher Kharrazi a déclaré que la création de ce qu'il appelle les États Unis Islamiques est un objectif central du parti politique qu'il dirige, le Hezbollah ou Parti de Dieu, et qu'il espérait en faire une réalité s'ils gagnaient la prochaine élection présidentielle.

Tehran, May 17 – From the Grapevine...
Political activists on Sunday wrote graffiti on walls in the eastern district of Tehran, Farrah-Abbad, urging residents to participate in demonstrations marking the anniversary of last June’s uprising. They wrote graffiti in Afrasiyabi, Kian and Nabard streets as well as in Abuzar Boulevard and Torenj Park.
"You desperate Khamenei, June uprising is on the way, don't forget about June 20-30", they wrote, referring to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Activists also distributed leaflets in homes, urging residents of the capital's Sa'adat-Abad to join the planned 10-day protests.
A number of residents who read the leaflets gave the activists the home addresses of local regime agents and promised to take part in the demonstrations. |

Iran sanctions call over sentences |

British Parliamentarians have condemned the wave of death sentences handed out to Iranian opposition activists, and called on the Government to impose sanctions on the mullah regime in Tehran.Labour peer Lord Corbett, chairman of the 120-strong British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom, said in a statement: "How many more corpses will the mullahs need to prop up their unpopular regime?
