Artist sympathizers of Iranian Resistance inside Iran voice support for its 10-day call to protest

 On the brink of the first anniversary of the start of the nationwide uprising in Iran and in response to the Iranian Resistance’s call for more protests, artists inside Iran supporting the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) have issued a statement inviting their colleagues to continue resistance and steadfastness against the cruel ruling theocracy, which they described as an enemy of culture and art.

  Maryam Rajavi calls on international community to condemn Iranian regime’s shelling of Iraqi Kurdish villages and calls for urgent measures to stop these attacks.Following the Iranian regime’s ongoing shelling and mortar attacks of the Iraqi Kurdish villages that has led to deaths and injuries of a number of local deprived residents, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, called on the United Nations Security Council, the American forces in Iraq, Arab League, European Union and other relevant international organizations to firmly condemn these abhorrent crimes and adopt an urgent measure to stop the aggressions.

UN report documents al-Maliki government's gross rights violations against Ashraf residents

In a report to the United Nations General Assembly and the Human Rights Council, UN officials documented a series of crimes committed by the clerical regime in Iran as well as Iraqi forces on July 28 and 29, 2009, against 3,400 unarmed members of the main Iranian opposition movement residing in Camp Ashraf near Baghdad.The report echoes fears concerning the possibility of forcible return of Ashraf residents to Iran where they could face execution or torture.

UN warns of dangers posed to Iranian dissidents in Iraq

London, May 29 - As Iraqi politicians struggle to form a new government, the fate of 3,400 members of the main Iranian opposition group, the People's Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI), has been hanging in the balance, with Iran demanding that authorities in Baghdad clamp down on the group.The group, based in Camp Ashraf, northeast of Baghdad, has come under increasing pressures and clampdown by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s government.

Iran: Father arrested for his son's stay in Camp Ashraf

 His wife and other son have been in jail for the past six months

Mr. Mohammad Salam Joshan, 52, father of a member of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) residing in Camp Ashraf, Iraq, was arrested on Monday evening, May 24, at his work place in Sorkhe-Hesar of Karaj, west of Tehran and taken to Evin prison. He was charged with rebellion and acting against national security.
