400 Camp Ashraf Residents Declare Readiness To Move To Camp Liberty .

Residents of camp Ashraf, in Iraq, said they were ready for relocation of the first group on December 30. They are moving from Camp Ashraf, to Camp Liberty with their vehicles and moveable belongings.

The UN Secretary General's Special Representative and the U.S. Embassy representative have been informed of their readiness.

In a meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) of the UN for Iraq, and representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the representatives of Camp Ashraf residents declared that upon a request by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, 400 of Camp Ashraf residents were ready to move to Camp Liberty on December 30 with their vehicles and movable belongings including kitchen, bakery, heating, cooling facilities, etc.

U.N. complains to Iraq over attack on dissident camp

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United Nations has complained to Iraq about mortar attacks this week on an Iranian dissident camp near Baghdad and has won a promise that they will be stopped, a U.N. spokesman said on Thursday.

Two mortars hit Camp Ashraf on Sunday, just days after Baghdad extended a year-end deadline for the facility to be closed as the United Nations negotiated resettlement of 3,000 residents there.

Camp Ashraf, 40 miles from Baghdad, has been home for 25 years to the People's Mujahideen Organization of Iran, or PMOI, an Iranian opposition group the United States and Iran officially consider a terrorist organization.

Following tonight's rocket attack by the Iranian mullahs' regime and their Iraqi proxies, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian resistance, said that this criminal attack was part of a forcible displacement scenario in order to target a peaceful resolution for Ashraf. This attack is carried out after an international consensus including in the UN Security Council, the United States, and the European Union caused an extension to December 31st deadline for closing Ashraf. She added that the rocket attack on Ashraf once again highlighted the necessity for the protection of Ashraf residents by the international community and specially the United States and the United Nations.

NCRI - Mrs. Rajavi declares her readiness to travel to Baghdad for talks with the Government of Iraq at the presence of UN Secretary General's Representative to Iraq, US Secretary of State's Special Advisor on Ashraf, Special Advisor to Baroness Ashton on Ashraf, Vice-president of the European Parliament, President of the Delegation for Relations with Iraq at the European Parliament and the lawyers of Ashraf.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance welcomed a peaceful resolution of the Ashraf crisis and once again declared her readiness for an immediate visit to Baghdad for start of the talks with the Iraqi government for making the arrangements for implementation of a peaceful resolution of Ashraf crisis and to ensure the minimum guarantees for the safe and security of 400 Ashraf residents in their transfer to Camp Liberty.

Agents of the Iranian regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), the terrorist Quds Force and the Iraqi forces under the command of Nouri al-Maliki, have intensified pressure on Camp Ashraf residents and the siege against them. They are setting the stage for attack and slaughter the residents by various means.
